The idea to found a new society was conceived during the Carlo Vivari meeting in August 1989, By Kresa and Milutinovic. The first President was Hans Mahieu who organized the 2nd Convention in May 1992 in Amsterdam. The 3rd convention took place in Kyoto in 1994, organized by Prof Isshiki; The 4rd in Philadelphia organized by Harvey Tucker and Bob Sataloff in 1996, the fifth in Sao Paolo,organized by PaoloPontes and Mara Behlau in february 1999, the next will be in Venice- Abano Terme in october and will be organized by me.
