Dr. med.

born in Michoacan, Mexico.

She specialized in Medicine of Human Communication in the Institute of the same name under Prof. Francisco Hernandez Orozco’s direction. She received direct and personal training from Prof. Severino Tarasco and Dr. Fernando Romero. Doctorate studies in Phoniatrics and Language Neurology from 1980 to 1982 with Prof. Friedrich Frank at the Vienna General Hospital in University of Vienna and Prof. Seitelberger at the Neurology Institute. She was Invited by Prof. Juergen Wendler for an official visit in the Phoniatrics Department at the Charite Hospital in Berlin 1987.
She was in charge of several Phoniatrics and Audiology departments in official hospitals in Mexico City and worked and founded the Centro de Foniatria y Audiologia, private institution with an integral phoniatrical view, including prevention and educational programs for artistic voice and environmental research projects. Her main clinical research projects are:
Effects of the air pollution on the voice (since 1992).
Artistic voice pathology in singing and acting.
New approaches to environmental rehabilitation methods.

She belongs to the Mexican medical societies in ENT and phoniatrics and also to IALP, Comet and the Voice Foundation. She trained different medical generations and has given specialized courses in national and international congresses. Her academic activities are in the fields of the voice , language and hearing pathology. She was invited by Voice Consortium to give conferences about Air pollution
and voice.

In1985 she started in Mexico with videoendoscopy and videostroboscopy as a routine examination in the phoniatrical patients. She has begun with the application of videokimography to the daily phoniatrical routine.
She is using computarized systems for phoniatrical voice and language rehabilitation.
