| From 1961 starting as an Hilfsarzt (assistance doctor) at the Univ.-ENT-Clinic, then Assistent and then head physician. At the ENT-Clinic education as specialist in ENT arid phoniatrics (degree from 16.8.1966). From April 1st 1966 I was appointed as Chairman of the Department of Phoniatrics, Logopedics and Pedaudiologics. The revaluation from a small ambulance to an in every kind expanded department was an essential step for the Viennese development in Phoniatrics. 1966 I founded the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Deutschsprachiger Phoniater (working group of German speaking phoniatricians) in Salzburg. Austria, This was the start for national foundations of phoniatric societies. In Austria it was the Phoniatric section of the Austrian ENT society. 1974 I appointed my habilitation (venia docendi) for ENT arid Speech arid Voice Diseases (= phoniatrics) and 1980 I was appointed as Univ.Professor. From 1968 to 1995 I was school-physician for Speech- arid Voice Diseases for the Public Health Department of Vienna. From 1969 to 1995 I also was contract-teacher at the Institute of Breathing- arn Voice-Education of the Highschool. of Music in Vienna. From 1971 I was also lecturer at the Pedagogic Institute of. Vienna. 1972 I was co-founder of the Academy of the phoniatric-logopedic-audiologic services at the AKH Vienna. There I was the scientific head and chairman up to 1993. 1992 the Univ.-ENT-Clinicum was divided by a structural l changing in two parts of equal value: a) Clinical Department of General ENT and b) Clinical Department of Phoniatrics and Logopedics. So I received the first professorship for phoniatrics and logopedics in Vienna. As head and chairman of the Department of Phoniatrics and Logopedics and as vice-chairman of the Univ.-ENT-Clinicum of Vienna I retired with 31 12.1995.I am member, honorary member, honorary chairman and honorary president of many national and international scientific societies. I have also been NGO-delegate of UN.
