Murray Morrison is Professor and Head of Otolaryngology at the University of British Columbia. As co-founder of the Pacific Voice Clinic at the Vancouver General Hospital he has published numerous studies in voice in collaboration other members of the group which was the first to employ the term “muscle tension dysphonia”.
He has trained a number of fellows in laryngology and continues to work collaboratively on a study of neuro-muscular dysfunction of the larynx, currently evolving the concept of “the irritable larynx”.
Dr. Morrison’s clinical practice is restricted to laryngology and voice disorders. He is consultant to the Vancouver Opera and is a long time baritone member of the Vancouver Bach Choir.
