Schröter-Morasch, Heidrun

Dr. Heidrun Schroeter-Morasch is affiliated with the Neuropsychological Department of the City Hospital Bogenhausen in Munich, FRG as Medical Director of the Department of Speech-Language-Pathology. She received her medical degree and was trained as an ENT physician and Phoniatrician at the Humboldt University in Berlin and at the Ludwig Maximilian University Munich. Then she started working in the field of neuromotor disorders of the velopharynx and larynx at the Neuropsychological Department of the Max-Planck-Institute of Psychiatry (Munich). Since 1985 she has, been engaged in the development of diagnostic and therapeutic standards in the context of a Rehabilitation Program, particularly by the application of endoscopic techniques in the assessment of neurological disorders of voice, speech and swallowing. She has received funding by the „Kuratorium ZNS“ for her work in the area of diagnosis and management of patients with dysphagia as well as for the development of training programs for physicians and therapists. She is one of the main authors of „Schluckstörungen - Diagnostik und Rehabilitation“, member of the founding committee of the Dysphagia working group in Munich and member of the IALP Dysphagia Committee.
