It is with great sadness that I have to inform you about the death of our beloved colleague Dr. med. Marcella Valenta.
Mrs. Valenta arrived in Switzerland in 1968 after the Soviet occupation of Czechoslovakia. She absolved her education with Professor Miloslav Seeman and was an important representative of the phoniatric school in Prague. She worked with Professor Ernst Loebell in Bern for many years and played an important role in the establishment of phoniatrics in Switzerland. In St. Gallen, Dr. Valenta built up one of the first phoniatric practices in Switzerland. Until her death she practised together with Dr. Jan Krkoška in Rorschach.
We will miss our beloved colleague deeply and shall remember her in best memories.
