UEP Mission and Vision

To promote cooperation amongst phoniatricians and with other professional societies focusing on communication and swallowing disorders — through promoting the scientific and professional development of phoniatrics as an umbrella for colleagues over the world, giving information, education and advice, continuously and open-mindedly.

To achieve this, the Union:

• organises scientific and professional meetings and congresses
• appoints committees for special purposes
• maintains a website that puts out information for its members and for the general public
• acts as the representative of its members on medical and non-medical scientific and professional corporations and in public
• cooperates with other medical and non-medical organisations
